DELIVERING THE GOODS FOR OVER 40 YEARS

The McCann European story began back in 1972 when current owner and Managing Director John Mager started the business right here at our Head Office in Immingham, North Lincolnshire.

Predominantly most of our work at that time was from the local docks with import and export through Immingham. 

 

In 1978 John was joined by Gordon Lamming. Gordon's expertise in customs clearance helped the company increase it's service offering from purely haulage into a 'one-stop shop' service which appealed to customers old and new. 

 

Later that year the companies 'ventures' into Europe began in earnest, primarily into the Benelux countries and we have been specialising in these routes ever since. We are proud to say that over 40 years later, most of our customers back then are still our customers today.

The company philosophy has always been geared around a genuine desire to excel on behalf of our customers. Our team is a relatively small tight knit one. We have developed a real family style environment where everyone understands each others roles and we are able to support each other effectively whatever the situation or requirements of each and every customer.

This ethos is at the centre of our longevity and success after all these years.

Mr Gordon Lamming

For those customers who may not be aware, our dear colleague Gordon Lamming passed away in May 2020, he will always have a special place in the history of our company and no doubt will be remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure of working with him.
